Published: July 03, 2019
Through their official website Championship club Derby County have announced the capture of young Nigerian midfielder Osazee Aghatise from Manchester City.
The Rams have announced the names of their new scholars ahead of the upcoming season, with Aghatise making the cut.
The teenager has reported to the Training Centre to begin pre-season training with
Justin Walker's U18 squad after signing a scholarship.
Aghatise will be on the books of Derby County for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons as he continues his football education and fight for his first professional deal.
He will represent Derby County in the U18 Premier League and is also eligible to feature in the prestigious UEFA Youth League by virtue of the youth team winning the U18 national title last season.
Prior to agreeing terms with the Pride Park Stadium club, Aghatise trialed at Stoke City.
Republic of Ireland U19 international of Nigerian descent, Festy Ebosele has entered the second year of his scholarship with Derby County.
