Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo was one of the standout players in Rangers 4-0 victory over St Johnstone on Sunday.
Reacting to his first international call-up, Aribo said that he was surprised to have received the invitation from Gernot Rohr.
"I thought it may come later, but it just shows what platform Rangers is and being able to be noticed so soon has made me just very happy.''
Aribo didn't just make his international bow against Ukraine, he equally scored his first goal for the country four minutes into the game.
"And to score in such early time, my heart was just beating fast during the game and it was just an amazing feeling."
The 23-year-old has been enjoying a massive transformation in his career since his move to the Scottish side from Charlton Athletic which earned him a debut call-up to the Super Eagles against Ukraine.
Reacting to his first international call-up, Aribo said that he was surprised to have received the invitation from Gernot Rohr.
"When I got the call-up it was just like 'wow! I am going to play for my nation'. I didn't really expect it,'' Aribo told Rangers TV, according to Inside Futbol.
