Nigeria U17s Last Friendly Ahead Of World Cup Opener To Go Ahead As Planned
Published: October 20, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Golden Eaglets last friendly ahead of their World Cup opener against Hungary on Saturday, October 26 will go ahead as planned.
Head Coach Manu Garba had expressed doubts on the game because of the distance traveling to the match venue.
However, the Japanese team arrived in Sao Paulo on Thursday, October 17 to begin their final phase of preparations for the U17 World Cup.
Both Nigeria and Japan have confirmed that the friendly match will kickoff at 1500 hours Brazilian team on Sunday afternoon which is 1900 hours in Nigeria.
The Golden Eaglets lost 2-1 to Sao Paulo youth team in their first friendly on Brazilian soil before an impressive 4-2 win against South Korea in their second tune-up game.
The five-time world champions will face Ecuador at Estádio Olímpico, Goiânia on October 29 in their second group game and finish the group stage against Australia at Estádio Bezerrão, Brasília on November 1.
