Confirmed : Two Nigerian Teenagers Released By Huddersfield Town
Two Nigerian teenagers will not be part of Huddersfield Town's squad for the 2020-2021 season, the Terriers confirmed through their official website as they published their retained and released list.

Andrew Ijiwole, 18, has not been offered a professional contract and will officially depart Huddersfield Town at the end of this month when his contract expires.

As previously reported by allnigeriasoccer.com, box-to-box midfielder Tim Akinola, 19, has been released, with Huddersfield Town deciding against triggering an extension clause in his contract.

Former XYZ Academy defender of Nigerian descent Mustapha Olagunju is among the academy stars retained for next season.

The highly-rated 2002-born player inked his first professional contract with Huddersfield Town in August 2019, keeping him at the Championship club until at least 2021.

Olagunju traveled with the first team to Dubai for a training camp in November 2019 following the appointment of Danny Cowley as coach.

Huddersfield Town are 20th in the table with 42 points after 38 games in the English second-tier.
