Austria U21 international of Nigerian descent Justin Omoregie will play for TSV Egger Glas Hartberg next season.
Red Bull Salzburg have confirmed through official channels that Omoregie has been loaned out to Austrian Bundesliga rivals TSV Egger Glas Hartberg for the entirety of the 2024-2025 season.
The promising midfielder is the second player of Nigerian descent signed by TSV Hartberg in the summer transfer window, after Nelson Amadin, the cousin of Bayern Munich academy product and current Bologna player Joshua Zirkzee.
Omoregie transferred to Salzburg from Austria Vienna's youth setup in 2017 and has since played through each age group at the Red Bull Academy, winning two titles.
The 20-year-old has eight appearances to his name in the UEFA Youth League and his standout performance came against Wolfsburg as he was involved in three goals (1 goal, 2 assists) in a 3-0 victory.
He has played in 31 games across all competitions for Salzburg's reserve team, FC Liefering, registering two goals and four assists.
Omoregie is a versatile player who can be deployed as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder or makeshift left-back.
The Vienna native was a member of Austria's team to the 2022 European U19 Championship and has also represented his country of birth at U16 and U17 levels.
