Andrea D'Amico, an Italian agent and partner of Victor Osimhen's new intermediary William D'Avila, has insisted that the Nigeria international joining Napoli would be a good move.
Liverpool are among the English clubs reportedly making a last-ditch attempt to snatch Osimhen from under the noses of Napoli but D'Amico, who is involved in negotiations with the Serie A club, has played down talks of a transfer to the Premier League.
The Osimhen transfer saga has dragged on an on over the course of this month as the player had to change his agent and the parties are still in talks over the use of his image rights.
"Something's in the process of being finalised, but I can't say any more than that."
When asked if Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso liked Osimhen, he responded : "Very much, he likes all good players. The Giuntoli-Gattuso axis is making Napoli stronger and stronger.
"The right step for the attacker (Osimhen) is Napoli, not Liverpool".
