SD Huesca CEO Manolo Torres has confirmed that they are holding talks with Arsenal over the possibility of signing Nigeria U23 international Kelechi Nwakali.
The former Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets captain wants to move onto pastures new because he has not been granted a work permit to play in the Premier League since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium in the summer of 2016.
Nwakali has taken in loan spells at MVV Maastricht, VVV Venlo and Porto B over the last three years.
In quotes carried by Deportes COPE Huesca, Torres stated : ''The summer began difficult and has been improving little by little.
''Nwakali is difficult, like all operations. It is true that it has been reactivated but it is difficult to sign players from its entity.
''Putting purchase options on players obeys a strategy of sports management.
''Arrivals are imminent. I cannot say if it will be today or tomorrow, but they will be imminent.''
The 21-year-old Kelechi Nwakali has 80 games under his belt as a professional, scoring eight goals and setting up six others.
