Super Eagles Captain Musa Admits Lesotho Proved A Tough Nut To Crack
Former Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa used few words when he was asked to comment on the Super Eagles impressive 4-2 win against Lesotho in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Sunday.
Gernot Rohr made his first substitution in the 66th minute with the number 7 replacing the Super Eagles second goalscorer Samuel Chukwueze.
Musa labelled Lesotho a good team and admitted that the opponents proved a nut to crack.
''I don't have much to say, the team played very good, as you can see we came back from a goal down to win, it's not that easy. We played a very good team today,'' the Super Eagles captain told reporters post-match.
One of the untouchables in the Super Eagles side that finished third at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Musa has not started a game for the national team since a 1-0 win vs Tunisia in July.
Following his appearance off the bench against Lesotho, Musa is now 13 games away from reaching a 100-game milestone for the Super Eagles.
