Goalkeeper
Daniel Akpeyi: Had little of note to do as the Zimbabweans sat back. (7/10)
Defenders
Jamilu Collins: Went close for the Super Eagles in the first period. Substantial display from Collins. (7/10)
Leon Balogun: Showed yet his dependability in the center of the defence for the team and hardly looked shaken. (8/10)
Kenneth Omeruo: Slotted in seamlessly alongside his defensive partner and was not found wanting. (7.5/10)
Ola Aina: Good showing from the full-back in pegging back the attacking forays of the opposition. (7/10)
Midfielders
Mikel Obi: Controlled proceedings the best he could from the middle of the park and kept things tidy. (8.5/10)
Oghenekaro Etebo: Mopped up pressure in the simplest of ways but got booked for a bad tackle in the second half. (6/10)
Alex Iwobi: Kept width and had a few runs at the opponents but couldn't break the rigid defence. (6/10)
Attackers
Samuel Kalu: Had a hushed display on his return against the resilient rivals. (5.5/10)
Paul Onuachu: Was isolated upfront for some time in the first half which affected his out put. Saw little balls to work on. (5/10)
Samuel Chukwueze: Nearly broke the deadlock for Nigeria in the first half, the closest the team came. A few tricks and twists in the scrappy encounter. (6.5/10)
The Substitutes
Chidozie Awaziem: Came on for Aina in the second period and helped in keeping the opponents quiet. (7/10)
Ahmed Musa: Had a better game upfront after replacing Kalu and showed quick movements. (6/10)
William Troost-Ekong: Replaced Omeruo in the flurry of second half changes and was astute as usual. (6/10)
Victor Osimhen: Came in for Onuachu in the second period but failed to come up with the break through (5/10)
Henry Onyekuru: Added fresh legs as the game winded down (5/10)
John Ogu: One of the late changes (NA)
