Super Eagles Will Fly To Egypt Via Chartered Flight; 20,000 Fans Ready To Boo Team
The Super Eagles will fly to Alexandria for the return leg of their African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Pharaohs aboard a chartered flight. <br /><br />Days leading up to the clash in Kaduna, the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, had stated that the national team will fly to Cairo using Egypt Air due to cost cutting measures they are presently employing.<br /><br /><span class="body1">“Our travel plans to Alexandria, Egypt have been modified. We’ll now travel via chartered flight from Abuja Monday. <br /><br /></span><span class="body1"><span class="body1">“</span>Thanks for your support,</span><span class="body1">” the Nigeria Football Federation stated.<br /><br />More than 40,000 spectators witnessed the encounter at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Friday evening but it is envisaged that 20,000 Egyptian fans will be permitted into the Borg El Arab Stadium on Tuesday.<br /><br />The FA had written to the government to increase the number from 10,000 to 20,000 and the request was approved.<br /><br /><b>Igho Kingsley</b><br /><br />Photo Credit : thenff.com<br /></span>
