Swindon Town Trigger One-Year Contract Extension For Jonathan Obika

With a statement published on their official webpage, Swindon Town have announced that Jonathan Obika will remain with the club next season after triggering a one-year extension to his contract.<br /><br />A product of Tottenham Hotspur, Obika ended his relationship with the Londoners when he penned a two-year deal with Swindon Town in 2014 with an option for a third season inserted into the contract.<br /><br />Now 25, he previously spent time on loan at Yeovil Town, Millwall, Crystal Palace,Peterborough United, Charlton Athletic and&nbsp; Brighton while on the books of Spurs due to his lack of first team opportunities.<br /><br />Jonathan Obika, who is a former England U20 international, made 27 starts and 5 substitute appearances , scoring 11 goals in the third tier in the 2015-2016 season.<br /><br />The leadership of the Robins also confirmed that ex-Manchester United starlet Nicky Ajose remains under contract with the club.<br /><br />Igho Kingsley <br /><br />Photo Credit : tottenhamhotspur.com<br /><br />
