The 21-year-old star was included in Frank Lampard's starting lineup ahead of Olivier Giroud, and it took him just 19 minutes before finding the back of the net.
His initial header was saved by Sheffield United goalkeeper Henderson, but he was smart enough to score from the rebound.
He scored his second goal of the game in the 43rd minute after benefiting from a poor defensive display from the visitors.
The Blues couldn't record their second win of the season as goals from Robinson and Zouma (own goal) helped Sheffield United pick up a point from the encounter.
However, Abraham's performance is currently one of the trending topics on social media platforms, and here are some fans' comments on Twitter:
@Matt_Barlow_DM: "Chelsea's first six goals of the Premier League season have been scored by academy graduates. Two for Mount and now four for Abraham".
@UtdHenry: "Tammy Abraham is better than Rashford already."
@CFCMod_: "Tammy Abraham really taking his chances and being clinical when needed, that's all I want from my striker. Lovely stuff, hope he keeps it up!"
@ConnCFC: "Tammy Abraham silencing his doubter with his second brace for the second game straight The kids on fire."
@CFCMod_: "Give Tammy Abraham the chance and he'll score. I'm absolutely loving this man, that's 4 goals in two games. "
@MichaelRyanRuiz: "TAMMY ABRAHAM SCORES MANY GOALSSSSS".
@NiiNiiFC: "Abraham is everything we need. - Can hold the ball, - Can play people in, - Can run the channels, - Starts the press and works hard, - Can beat a man 1v1, - Has a great 1st touch and is ALWAYS in the right place in the box, at the right time. THIS is our no9!"
@danlevene: "August not yet over, and Tammy Abraham already has THREE Premier League goals. Drink it in."
@danlevene: "A moment ago Tammy Abraham bustled his way forward, only to be closed down by white shirts. Good work, and recognised so by Olivier Giroud: warming-up pitch-side, and applauding the man who has edged him out of the team. Which says a lot about the positive morale in the squad."
@J5Edition:" Tammy Abraham - that's how you respond to criticism & racism."
@nomifooty:" Tammy Abraham will hopefully break that no curse for us!"
@ChelseaFCinUSA:" YOU CAN'T STOP TAMMY ABRAHAM YOU CAN ONLY HOPE TO CONTAIN Him"
