Kelechi Iheanacho has urged his Leicester City teammates to be ruthless going forward in Sunday's Emirates FA Cup fourth round clash against Brentford as the opponents have quality players in their ranks.
The Nigeria international was the hero for the Foxes the last time they faced the Bees around a year ago, converting a cross from James Justin to hand Brendan Rodgers side a 1-0 win.
Brentford are currently sat fourth in the Championship standings with 44 points but have played two games less than Watford and Swansea City who are above them in the table.
With Jamie Vardy unavailable for selection due to injury, Iheanacho is expected to be involved in some capacity in tomorrow's meeting at the Brentford Community Stadium.
"We played them last time in the FA Cup and probably the team has changed a little bit,” Iheanacho told LCFC TV.
"They were a good side last time we played them, and they have good quality players as well, so they might hurt us if we’re not careful. We need to just be ourselves, play our own game and make sure that we get the win.
"We need to take our chances when they come in the first half, so they don’t take us to the second half.
"They’re at home, and sometimes when you don’t take your chances, it gets hard in the second half. You have to cope with it, so we need to take our chances when they come."
The Emirates FA Cup is Iheanacho's favourite domestic competition in terms of goalscoing, having netted 10 goals in 15 appearances - a goal every 88 minutes.
