Manchester United U17 team beat their Burnley counterparts 3-1 in a friendly on Wednesday night with two players of Nigerian descent writing their names on the scoresheet for The Red Devils.
Mipo Odubeko and Shola Shoretire were on target for Manchester United in the win against The Clarets.
The two teenagers have seen their stock rise further this season and it is envisaged that Odubeko will make his debut for United's U18 squad next season as he is expected to sign a scholarship deal.
A Republic of Ireland youth international, he joined Manchester United from St Joseph’s Boys and rose through the ranks before his promotion to the club’s U16 and U17 teams.
Shoretire became the youngest player in history to feature in the UEFA Youth League after making his debut against Valencia in December 2018, aged 14 years, 10 months and 10 days.
He scored a hat trick and provided two assists on his England U15s debut against Turkey last month.
