Super Eagles stars have discovered their opponents following the latest UEFA Champions League and Europa League draws, with several Nigerian internationals set for crucial European fixtures in the knockout stages.
In the UEFA Champions League, Victor Osimhen will lead Galatasaray against Liverpool. The two sides previously met in the league phase of the competition earlier this season, where Osimhen scored the only goal in Galatasaray’s 1-0 victory in October.
The Round of 16 fixtures are scheduled to take place in March 2026, with the Nigerian striker expected to spearhead Galatasaray’s attacking options.
Meanwhile, Ademola Lookman will continue his European campaign with Atlético Madrid following his winter transfer.
Lookman has enjoyed impressive form since joining the Spanish club and will now face Tottenham Hotspur in a highly anticipated knockout tie.
The fixture is expected to test Atletico Madrid’s defensive strength as Lookman will be aiming to maintain his attacking impact.
In the UEFA Europa League, Ola Aina will represent Nottingham Forest when they face FC Midtjylland.
Aina has remained a key figure in Nottingham Forest’s defensive setup this season and will hope to help his side progress further in the competition.
The Super Eagles presence in the Europa League also includes Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi, who are expected to feature for FC Porto against VfB Stuttgart.
Both players will be aiming to contribute to Porto’s push for qualification into the later stages of the tournament as the European competitions move into the knockout rounds.
