'Very positive' - Farioli impressed by Moffi's display in Porto's comeback win at Braga

FC Porto coach Francesco Farioli has praised the impact of Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi after Porto came from behind to secure a 2‑1 victory over Sporting Braga in a Primeira Liga clash at Estádio Municipal de Braga on Sunday night.

Braga opened the scoring from the penalty spot, putting the home side ahead.

However, Porto responded strongly after Farioli introduced key substitutes. William Gomes quickly levelled the match, and Seko Fofana’s strike ultimately secured the turnaround.

Reflecting on the match, Farioli told the club’s official website that the substitutions were decisive in changing the game’s momentum.

He said: “The entry of William Gomes and Terem Moffi was very positive, as was that of Seko Fofana who scored the goal, or Borja Sainz and Pablo who helped us gain ground in the opponent's area.”

His comments highlighted the coach’s satisfaction with the performance of his bench and their role in securing the win.

Since arriving at Porto on loan from French side OGC Nice during the winter transfer window, Terem Moffi has quickly started leaving his imprint on the squad.

The Nigerian forward has already netted two goals across all competitions, and his dynamic introduction against Braga proved crucial in steering Porto to a crucial 2‑1 victory.
