Former Chelsea central defender Kenneth Omeruo believes the Super Eagles are in good shape to beat Ghana in Friday evening's 2022 World Cup playoff in Kumasi.
The three-time African champions had three training sessions in Abuja and had a light workout at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday evening ahead of the mouthwatering clash.
Unless there is a late surprise, Omeruo is expected to make way for Rangers star Leon Balogun in the starting lineup to face the Black Stars, if the team's final training session in Abuja is anything to go by.
Matches between Ghana and Nigeria are always difficult because of the rivalry between the two West African giants.
"The team is ready. We have had a good training session and I think from what the coaches are trying to pass we are ready," Omeruo told reporters before the squad's trip to Kumasi.
"Ghana against Nigeria is tough, we know this and we are going into that game ready to give our best.
"We are going there to win the game, it won't be easy but we have the squad to do it."
The return leg of the 2022 World Cup playoff will be played in the country's capital Abuja, with the winner over two legs picking one of the five tickets to represent Africa in Qatar.
