Ademola Lookman was understandably disappointed in the wake of Fulham's 2-1 loss to Manchester United in an English Premier League clash on Wednesday despite getting on the scoresheet.
The Super Eagles hopeful showed brilliant composure to give the Cottagers the lead in the
5th minute, drilling the ball into the bottom corner after he was played
onside by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
An Edinson Cavani goal following an error by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and a Paul Pogba wonderstrike secured three points for the Red Devils.
"I’m just disappointed really, especially having taken the lead. The goals we conceded, we could do a lot better on those," Lookman told Fulham's official website.
"We know that as players, so we need to rectify those mistakes."
Lookman refused to accept personal praise for his goal as Fulham eventually did not get anything from the game.
He added : "We didn’t get the three points. To me, the three points is more important than my goal."
Up next for Lookman and Fulham, they host Burnley in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday before trips to Brighton and West Brom in the Premier League.
