Zlatan Ibrahimovic Escapes Red Card After Elbowing Bayern Munich Defender David Alaba

The highlight of Sweden&rsquo;s Euro 2016 qualifying fixture against Austria (1 - 1) on Tuesday night was PSG superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic turning out for the Scandinavian country for the 100th time in his career. <br /><br />On the flip side, Zlatan Ibrahimovic was fortunate to escape being red carded after he elbowed Austrian - Nigerian wing - back David Alaba on the face in the first half of the tie in Vienna.<br /><br />Whether that act was done voluntarily or was not planned is left for Europe&rsquo;s governing body to decide when the incident is reviewed.<br /><br />The brave Bayern Munich defender, who was on target in the 7th minute, soldiered on until the end of the game staged at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion (Wien).<br /><br />Another player with Nigerian blood, Rubin Okotie, was a second half substitute, joining the fray as a 69th minute substitute.<br /><br /><br />Photo Credit : uefa.com<br />
