Representatives of the Algerian Football Federation will hold talks with retired Norway international Jørn Andersen on Wednesday, October 19 over becoming the coach of their national team.

Afrik-foot.com has reported that the president of the Algerian Federation,
Raouraoua, will not be involved in negotiations because he is currently in Libreville to attend the draw for the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

The 53-year-old
Andersen has served as coach of FC Luzern U21, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Skoda Xanthi, Larissa, Austria Salzburg and North Korea.

He played alongside former Super Eagles hero Austin Okocha at Eintracht Frankfurt and also had spells with Fortuna Düsseldorf, Hamburger SV, Dynamo Dresden and FC Zurich.

Algeria are in search of a new coach following the
