Etebo Suffers Grade One Muscle Injury, Misses Stoke City's Trip To Queens Park Rangers
Published: March 07, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that it is all but confirmed that Oghenekaro Etebo will not be in Stoke City's traveling squad to the English capital, London, where they will tackle Queens Park Rangers on game week 36 in the EFL Championship on Saturday.
The Nigeria international had one of his best performances in a Potters shirt against Nottingham Forest in the last round of matches but was forced off injured in the 66th minute.
Medical checks reveal that the versatile midfielder suffered a grade one muscle injury on Saturday and the Potters medical team recommended that he should rest the injury for one week.
Etebo has not participated in Stoke City's last three workouts, instead he continued his recovery in the gym on Wednesday.
While the former Warri Wolves star is expected to shake off his injury and report for international duty as things stand, Ola Aina's availability for the games against Seychelles and Egypt is still covered in mist.
The Chelsea loanee is still receiving treatment and has not trained fully after he suffered an abdominal injury in the pre-match warm up before the clash against Chievo Verona.
