Nigeria U23 Invitee Kelechi Nominated For Best Player Award In Portugal
Published: March 11, 2019Nigerian defender Kelechi John has been nominated for the Best Player Award in the regular season of the Portuguese Liga Revelacao for the 2018-2019 campaign.
The Rio Ave stalwart was nominated alongside teammates Vitó, Diogo Teixeira, Leandro and eighteen other players on the books of Aves, Belenenses, Benfica, Estoril, Marítimo, Portimonense, Sporting and Vitória SC for the gong.
Kelechi's impressive performance in Portugal has already earned him an international call-up with Nigeria.

The Professional Football Players' Union (SJPF) informed that voting to select the Best Player of the regular season will take place on the website of the Players' Union.
Kelechi's impressive performance in Portugal has already earned him an international call-up with Nigeria.
He is one of the foreign-based professionals invited by Nigeria national Under-23 Coach, Imama Amakapabo to the team's Abuja camp ahead of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.
The former Plateau United starlet helped Rio Ave win the regular season title.
