Why Liverpool Loanee Sheyi Ojo Deserves A Call-up To International Duty
Liverpool youngster Sheyi Ojo is going through tough times at the moment as things aren't working out as planned for him.

The 21-year-old is on loan to Ligue 1 outfits Stade Reims where he's not featuring regularly after falling out of favour with coach David Guin.

It would be recalled that the youngster revealed his readiness to dump England  for Nigeria late last year but no report has emerged as regards to his switch.

As result of Sheyi Ojo's decision over his international future, England manager Gareth Southgate doesn't look like he will extend an invitation to him anytime soon.

He is definitely concerned about players who are in top form and are ready to remain with the country throughout their playing careers.

Though NFF are yet to clarify the player's nationality status with  world's football governing body (FIFA), Gernot Rohr ought to extend a call-up to the youngster in order to help him begin his bonding process as soon as possible.

Ojo won't play any role in the upcoming game against Seychelles and Egypt because he is presently ineligible to represent the three-time African Champions, however, inviting him to the Eagles's camp will create a strong impression on the youngster that his decision to join his fatherland won't be a regrettable one.

Since his loan move to Reims in the summer, Ojo is yet to open his goal-scoring account in the Ligue 1 after playing 13 matches — an unacceptable stat from a player who was tagged 'Raheem Sterling's replacement' by Anfield faithfuls some years ago.
