Super Eagles Hold First Training Session In Asaba 1630 Hours Tuesday Pre-Seychelles
Published: March 19, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands the Super Eagles will hold their first training session at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
It is envisaged that a majority of the invited players would have reported for international duty before the start of the team's first workout on grass scheduled to begin at 1630 hours.
Meanwhile, there will be no training drills in the gym this morning due to the limited number of players in camp.
Hapoel Beer Sheva midfielder John Ogu and Galatasaray striker Henry Onyekuru departed Europe on Monday and are expected to join the team in Asaba later today, if they don't encounter any hiccups.
Chelsea loanee Ola Aina and Bordeaux number 10 Samuel Kalu, who were originally named to the 23-man roster, will play no part in the upcoming games due to their injury issues and have been replaced by two home-based players in the shape of Ikouwem Udo and Ndifreke Effiong respectively.
There was good news for Gernot Rohr on Saturday, with Oghenekaro Etebo coming through his comeback game unscathed, and the Stoke City man is expected in camp today.
