Super Eagles Starting XI Vs Seychelles : Rohr To Make Late Decision On Henry Or Moses Simon
Published: March 21, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will make a late decision on whether to include Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru or Levante's Moses Simon in the starting line-up for Friday afternoon's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
The former Gent star was winning the race for the right winger position but it appears the German football tactician is not totally convinced after replacing him with the Galatasaray star in the final workout held on Thursday.
Barring any last-minute changes, Onyekuru is set to make his full debut for the Super Eagles, having come off the bench in his previous appearances against Togo, Seychelles, Libya (2), South Africa and Uganda.
It is believed that the Aspire Academy product got the nod over Simon on the back of his fine form in the Turkish Super Lig, having had a hand in five goals (2 goals, 3 assists) in his last six games.
Simon had struggled for game time since his move to Levante and only broke into the starting line-up in February.
Rohr had suggested earlier this week that he was planning to make three changes to the side that faced South Africa but that is not cast in stone, if the Super Eagles final training session is anything to go by.
