Super Eagles Begin Preparations For Egypt: Collins Pulls Out Of Training, Ighalo Absent, Akpeyi Drilled
A day after Nigeria beat Seychelles 3-1, coach Gernot Rohr has started preparing his team for their second match this international break which is against Egypt on Tuesday, March 26, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

A recovery session which lasted for approximately one hour was held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Saturday morning, with all the players taking part with the exception of Odion Ighalo.

The former Watford striker, scorer of Nigeria's first goal against the Pirates, had to be substituted in the closing minutes after picking up an injury and has emerged as a doubt for the match against The Pharaohs.

SC Paderborn's Jamilu Collins initially started the recovery session along with other players but had to withdraw after only ten minutes on the advice of the Super Eagles medical team.

The left-back's exposure to the hot weather made him develop hit rashes all over his arms and he did not rejoin the squad again before they departed the stadium.

Daniel Akpeyi underwent a special regime with goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu before joining the players in fitness training.

During the recovery session, the players performed stretching exercises and knocked the ball around.
