Sevilla, Barcelona Stars Omitted As Nigeria Announce Starting XI Vs UMF Selfoss
Published: April 05, 2019Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby has announced the starting line-up for Friday's friendly against Icelandic club UMF Selfoss taking place in Spain.
The big news is that Barcelona striker Asisat Oshoala has been left out of the match day squad and the same goes for Sevilla front woman Antionette Oyedupe Payne, who would have made her unofficial debut if she had featured in this game.
Chiamaka Nnadozie has gotten the nod to start in goal ahead of Tochukwu Oluehi and Alaba Jonathan.
The defense comprises of Josephine Chukwunonye, Ngozi Ebere and Faith Ikidi, while Ngozi Okobi and Ogonna Chukwudi are among the midfielders.
French-based striker Desire Oparanozie starts upfront and will be supported by Uchenna Kanu.
Brighton & Hove star Ini-Abasi Umotong and Rasheedat Ajibade are among the seven substitutes.
The Super Falcons will be captained by Kristianstads DFF midfielder Rita Chikwelu today.
