CSKA Moscow winger Ejuke targets three points against RPL strugglers Arsenal Tula
Published: March 13, 2021Chidera Ejuke has shared his thoughts ahead of CSKA Moscow's Russian Premier League fixture against Arsenal Tula this afternoon at the Stadion Arsenal (Tula).
The Muscovites are motivated to win today's game as it would see them leapfrog Zenit St. Petersburg in the provisional standings, eight matches to the end of the 2020-2021 season.
"After the victory over Akhmat Grozny it is important for us to continue in the same spirit, especially since we are close to the first place," Ejuke said to CSKA Moscow's official Twitter account.
"This makes the game in Tula very important. We don't look at the opponent’s unsuccessful streak, each match is a new story, so we will be extremely focused."
Since joining the Army Men from Dutch club SC Heerenveen last August, Ejuke has scored two goals in 22 outings in all competitions.
Bearing it in mind that the Russian Premier League was on break for more than two months, Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has omitted Ejuke from the 24-man squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
