Official: Fulham and Everton alum Adeniran joins Scottish club St Mirren
Published: July 12, 2024Fulham and Everton alum Dennis Adeniran has returned to British football with Scottish Premiership outfit St Mirren.
With a statement on their official website, St Mirren announced the signing of the former England U19 international of Nigerian descent on a one-year contract, subject to clearance.
Adeniran will earn a second year with the Buddies if he reaches the required number of appearances under manager Stephen Robinson.
A midfielder by trade, he has joined St Mirren on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Israeli club Haopel Petah Tikva, where he played in ten games and scored one goal.
Adeniran kicked off his professional journey at Fulham, debuting for the Cottagers in a League Cup fixture against Leyton Orient in August 2016.
He later moved to Everton, tallying 56 appearances for their U21 team and spent the 2020-2021 season on loan with Wycombe Wanderers.
After leaving Everton, Adeniran transferred to Sheffield Wednesday, where he registered ten goal involvements in 51 appearances across two seasons.
He had a short spell at Portuguese club Portimonense before joining Haopel Petah Tikva in January 2024.
The 25-year-old has been offered a deal by St. Mirren after featuring as a trialist in Tuesday night's 2-0 win against Greenock Morton.
