Olisa Ndah refuses to rule out Orlando Pirates exit; welcomes competition in Super Eagles defence
Published: September 04, 2024Super Eagles defender Olisah Ndah has indicated a willingness to explore opportunities beyond his current club, Orlando Pirates.
Since joining the South African side in 2021 from Akwa United, Ndah has made a notable impact, with 76 appearances and one goal to his name.
The 26-year-old's strong performances have garnered interest from clubs across the world, making a potential move abroad a topic of speculation.
When asked about his future, Ndah did not dismiss the possibility of an exit, stating, "I am happy where I am but I am open if any opportunity comes my way".
Ndah is currently with the Nigerian national team, preparing for their upcoming fixture against Republic of Benin on Saturday, September 7, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
In a competitive squad featuring defenders such as Calvin Bassey, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, and Semi Ajayi, Ndah addressed the intense competition.
"I think it is a healthy competition and there's a lot of great players in the team. No matter who is starting on Saturday, I think we're committed to the team."
The Super Eagles defender is thrilled with the warm welcome from the team.
"It is a good reception and there are a lot of great guys here. I am enjoying my moments here. I am also in Uyo, so I feel at home because I have been here for a couple of years before."
As he rejoins the squad for the upcoming matches against Republic of Benin and Rwanda, Ndah brings valuable experience to the team.
He was a member of the Super Eagles to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, and also played in the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
