Jayden Adetiba: Skilful forward who has cited Iwobi, Ronaldo as role models scores for Arsenal U16s
Published: December 08, 2024Skillful Nigerian forward Jayden Adetiba continues to live up to his billing as a young player destined for great things.
According to Arsenal youth team guru, Jeorge Bird, Adetiba was among the scorers for Arsenal U16s as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Manchester City.
Following a successful five-week trial, the 2009-born attacker signed schoolboy terms with Arsenal in 2018, choosing the Gunners over Blackburn Rovers.
Adetiba represented Arsenal U15s in the 2024 Generation adidas Cup, helping them top their group with three wins out of three.
He has named Manchester United and Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo as well as Alex Iwobi as his role models—the latter for rising through the youth ranks to make his first-team debut for Arsenal.
Adetiba has already made his competitive debut for Arsenal U18s, playing the last eleven minutes of the Premier League Cup clash against Liverpool in August 2024.
The 15-year-old was on target for Arsenal U18s against German opponents Paderborn in a pre-season friendly.
Jayden Adetiba is expected to be offered a scholarship by Arsenal due to his outstanding performances for the youth teams since joining the club.
